This is probably the shortest “one time offer” sales pitch you will ever see.
But that’s because it’s very simple – and it’s a no-brainer…
Most geo-keywords are pretty simple to rank for, but in the more aggressive markets (especially mortgages/loans), the major US cities are actually pretty competitive.
There’s still some “cracks” in the system – so to speak.
Here’s what I’ve done: I’ve researched and analyzed the top 10 most populous cities across the US, so as to find the “holes” in cities where the traffic volume’s going to be there no matter what.
Then, using base keywords such as “mortgage rates”, “refinance”, “mortgage broker”, etc. and then appending them to a geo-handle (such as “Chicago mortgage rates”, etc) – I’ve analyzed the SERPs using 4 main indicators as to whether the keyword is easily attainable, or if there’s some competition.
